BioPlague (sometimes called Pestilence) is the Fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse. He is often described as riding a "pale green" horse and starting the destruction that will eventually end with Death.
In the beginning, the Horsemen were agents of fate -- going where they were needed and generally doing their own thing. But when Christianity started to rise, and the fates backed out of the game, Heaven and Hell began to vie for their services. In the end, Hell won. But there was just one catch. The Horsemen swore allegiance not to the throne of Hell, but to it's prince, Azrael. They are now his to command.
Not that it really matters to Plague. As long as he can still have his fun, what does he care of who is giving the orders.
